Lab Seat Acceptable Use Agreement
You are about to use a lab seat provided by J2R Solutions for a hands-on training event. The seat is a real cloud server with real network access. Before you log in, read and accept the following.
What this seat is for
- Completing the lab exercises for this event, as written in the lab guide and as directed by the instructors.
- Exploring the tools and images staged on the seat in the spirit of the exercises.
What you agree not to do
- Use the seat, or anything you reach from it, to attack, scan, probe, or disrupt any system you do not own, including other seats, the lab platform, and any host on the internet.
- Run cryptocurrency miners, bots, spam or phishing tooling, proxies or relays for outside traffic, or any workload that is not part of the lab.
- Attempt to break out of your seat, escalate privileges beyond what the exercises provide, reach other attendees' seats or the platform's control plane, or extract credentials that are not yours.
- Store, upload, or process personal data, customer data, secrets, or anything sensitive on the seat. It is a temporary training machine, not a safe place for real data.
- Share your seat login with anyone, or use a login that is not the one issued to you.
What you acknowledge
- Activity on the seat may be logged, monitored, and reviewed by the event's instructors and the platform operators.
- The seat is temporary. It will be stopped and destroyed after the event, and anything you leave on it is gone.
- Misuse may result in the seat being disabled immediately, removal from the event, and, where warranted, referral to your organization or the appropriate authorities.
- Third-party software, images, and services staged on the seat are provided under their own licenses and terms.
By entering your seat username and your name and clicking I agree, you confirm that you have read this agreement, that you are the person this seat was issued to, and that you will use the seat only as described above.
